June 30 through Labor Day weekend open 7 days a week

The Museum relies on a corps of dedicated volunteers to run its programs and events.

Volunteers have fun, enjoy unique experiences and make a real contribution to our community’s maritime heritage.

As a volunteer you can choose from many different activities and events.  These include helping out on a lighthouse cruise or Maritime Festival activity, light office work, Bug Light maintenance, contributing to a research project and many more.

Internships

Museum internships are available for high school, college and graduate school students with an interest in history, education or non-profit administration.

Interns will work with the president of the museum and different board members to design and develop projects.
