The East End Seaport Museum is a maritime museum dedicated to preserving our local history and maritime heritage through education, exhibits, trips, events and activities.

The 2013 Membership Activities listed below are free of charge to participate, except fund raising events as noted. Participants are responsible for their own expenses, including transportation and meals. Members have priority and space is limited.

Saturday, May 25 – “The Bays Around Us – A Tribute to Rachel Carson” Opening Reception, 5-8 PM. At museum
Saturday, June 1 – Fireboat “Firefighter” tour in Mitchell Park Marina, Greenport. 11 AM

Friday, June 28 – Trip to Block Island. 7 AM – 8 PM

Saturday, July 13 – Blacksmith Iron-Working Demo, 10 AM. Blacksmith Shop, Front Street, Greenport
Thursday, July 18 – Fund-Raising Trip to Fishers Island. 10 AM – 4 PM
Friday, August 2 – Members Trip to Bug Light. 4-6 PM

Monday, August 5 – Members Trip to Plum Island. 9 AM – 2:30 PM

Sunday, August 25 – Whale-Watching Trip out of Montauk, NY – 9 AM – 2:30 PM
Friday, September 13 – SPAT oyster and scallop hatchery in Southold, NY. 10-11:30 AM
September – Sail Away on local charter.

Friday, September 20 – Land and Sea Reception/Greenport Maritime Festival. 6-9 PM at museum
Saturday, October 26 – Walking tour of Cedar Point Lighthouse, Sag Harbor

November – Fund Raising Seafood Cooking Class & Luncheon with owner and Executive Chef Deborah Pitterino at Cuvee Bistro, The Greenporter
November – History Roundtable. Learn about a Greenport whaling captain’s two-year voyage to the Crozet Islands
