Fourth Grade School Experience on “The Glory” with Capt. Dave.

Goal: To provide an educational experience for local students in Marine Science and ecological systems; in the area of Peconic Bay.

EESM offered scholarships to ten local children to attend David Berson’s “Glory” Science program. The children experienced the wonders of the bay with a week long summer program, Monday thru Friday from 9-11 aboard GLORY during the week of June 18th . Children learned about marine and ecosystems, sea navigation, wildlife and ecology in this eye-opening look through the vantage point of the Peconic Bay. This rigorous yet fun course made learning exciting.

By partnering with Captain Dave, EESM is able to extend its vision and mission to include our youth who can benefit greatly by this field trip that, while local, takes them great distances. As School Districts cut back, we step up to the plate.
